Lucha Vavoom
Rita D' Albert and Liz Fairbairn founded Lucha Vavoom in 2002 in Los Angeles, CA. Rita and Liz joined forces to create an extravagant show - one like no other! Rita was producing shows while Liz was working in movie sets in Mexico. With Rita's burlesque experience and the love for lucha style wrestling and Liz's info and love about luchadores and costume designs it made perfect sense to work together to create a unique show. The show they put together would have Mexican style masked wrestling with burlesque, comedy, and a bit of the ultra-violet. In the beginning Rita was touched by 60's tv shows with lucha super heroes and sexy girls dancing at the end. Liz discovered lucha libre from her friend she met working on a film set in Mexico using little people as stunt guys, she was also doing costumes. The show would spread like wildfire with thousands of fans around the world and celebrities showing up like Pee Wee Herman, Jack Black, Billy Zane, Gary Newman and a whole lot more. People have been looking for something like this for a long time and it's here! Bringing on talent from all over the globe makes this show special.
